Free to be Me

Have you missed me? Okay, probably not. But I’m apologizing for my absence regardless.

I’m not going to lie. I started another blog. I was second guessing myself and was considering doing something slightly more marketable (?) but it just wasn’t doing it for me. Thus, my lack in posts for the last month or so. I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.

My inspiration to return was a nice swift kick in the butt from my best friend. She’s been starting a blog as well and shared it with me today. I will add it to my blogroll when she says yes! : )

Will you let me start over? Introductions are always ackward, aren’t they?

Hi, my name is Kat. I am a graphic designer and have an appreciation for well-designed things. Nothing is too small for big design. I specialize in print media design, but loving design is a lifestyle that pours into all the aspects of our lives.

And about me? I’m a book-reading, writing, craft-making, DIY-lovin’, bargain-hunting newlywed. I’m exuberant, peppy and quite the optimist. I usually don’t love things a little, I love things a LOT.

I live in the greater Boston area with my hubby of (hmm, counting…) just over 6 [happy, giddy, eye-opening] months(!). Here in blog-land I will refer to him as Moose, as he’s a little shy of becoming world-famous, just like my blog (I joke, I joke).

Oh, what is a “withywindle” you ask?

I grew up reading J.R.R. Tolkein with my Dad before bed. There is a character in the Lord of the Rings trilogy named Tom Bombadil. He is one of my favorite characters because he’s referred to as a “merry fellow” with a carefree and happy approach to life. He often speaks in sing-song manners (“Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo! Ring a dong! hop along!”) and lives along the banks of the Withywindle – a magical river.

Welcome to my blog!
